Driver’s MacBook Traced to Trooper’s Home Sparks DUI Misconduct Review
An Illinois State Police trooper once praised as a top DUI enforcer is under internal review after a driver’s missing MacBook was traced to the trooper’s Tinley Park home. The driver, Sherard Holland, later was found not guilty at a bench trial and has filed a civil rights lawsuit alleging the laptop was kept by Trooper Bradley; investigators concluded Bradley violated policy by not reporting the incident and by holding the device, resulting in a one-day suspension.
