Walls to Start as Florida Eyes Gainesville Regional Title Against Troy
Florida will start sophomore Cooper Walls in the Gainesville Regional Final against Troy, his 10th start of the season. Walls is 3-2 with a 6.87 ERA over 36.2 innings, allowing 32 runs with 35 strikeouts. After Florida opened the regional with a 2-0 lead before an 11-6 loss to Troy, coach Kevin O’Sullivan said the bullpen will be used strategically, with several relievers likely to go two innings each before handing the ball to Josh at the end to try to force a regional title.
