Kennedy Center Removes Trump Branding Ahead of Bill Maher’s Twain Award Ceremony
The Kennedy Center has removed Donald Trump’s name from its branding following a federal ruling that the board overstepped, and will host Bill Maher’s Mark Twain Award for American Humor on June 28 with guest speakers including John Mellencamp, Jay Leno, Whitney Cummings, Louis C.K. and Stephen A. Smith; Issa Rae, Bela Fleck and Renée Fleming canceled planned appearances in protest of the branding change.
