Trump proposes converting his West Palm Beach golf club into a permanent presidential retreat
President Donald Trump has endorsed a proposal to convert a parcel of his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, into a permanent presidential retreat. The plan, submitted by the club’s legal counsel to Palm Beach County officials, aims to create a facility for future presidents and foreign leaders, similar to Camp David. Trump claims the idea was suggested by the Secret Service and military, citing security benefits. The Trump Organization would fund construction, with the project intended to be completed after his term. Palm Beach County is currently evaluating the proposal and coordinating with federal agencies to select the land.
