Verstappen tops Q2 as Tsunoda and Gasly exit Spanish GP qualifying
Max Verstappen posted the fastest time in Q2 to lead qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, while Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly were eliminated in Q2. Hulkenberg, Bortoleto, Ocon, and Albon also failed to progress from Q2. In Q1, Sainz, Alonso, Perez, Bottas, Bearman and Stroll were eliminated. Russell had topped practice earlier, with Lawson and Antonelli trading fast times before Verstappen’s late push.
