Jose Aldo urges UFC to cut Evloev after loss, citing lack of entertainment value
UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo stated that he would release Movsar Evloev from his contract immediately upon his first loss, arguing that the undefeated featherweight contender fails to generate sufficient fan interest or entertainment value. Aldo criticized Evloev’s 10-0 record in the UFC, noting that all victories have come via decision, which he views as 'boring' and unmarketable. This stance coincides with Evloev’s upcoming title challenge against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on October 24. While Aldo supports Volkanovski’s defense, he emphasized that the promotion is a business that prioritizes spectacle over ranking systems. The comments follow recent roster cuts of other undefeated fighters, such as Farid Basharat, and contrast with defenses of Evloev from Michael Bisping, who praised his recent performances.
