Man charged over Golders Green stabbing as terror probe advances
Essa Suleiman, 45, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with attempted murder of two Jewish men, Shloime Rand and Moshe Shine, in Golders Green, plus a separate charge of attempting to murder Ishmail Hussein earlier the same day and a knife-possession offence; prosecutors say the incident is treated as terrorism. Rand has been discharged from hospital, Suleiman remains in custody, and the case is headed to the Old Bailey with a preliminary hearing set for 15 May. The terror threat level has been raised to severe.
