NJ college athlete fatally shot by police after mistakenly entering a stranger’s home
An unarmed 22-year-old New Jersey college student, Glenn “Bubba” Pysher, was shot and killed by police after he mistakenly tried to enter a stranger’s home following a night of bar-hopping with friends. Police responded to a 911 call about a possible break-in; an encounter at the rear of the home ended in Pysher being shot, according to authorities. He had recently transferred to Saint Elizabeth University and was set to begin classes and play baseball on Monday. The shooting is under investigation by the Montgomery County Detective’s Bureau and the district attorney’s office; his family says he was unaware he was at the wrong house and was simply asking to be let in.
