UAW Files Unfair Labor Practice Charges Against GM and Stellantis
The United Auto Workers (UAW) has filed unfair labor practice charges against automakers General Motors (GM) and Stellantis for not bargaining in good faith or in a timely manner, according to UAW President Shawn Fain. The union did not file a complaint against Ford Motor, as the company responded with a counterproposal. Fain criticized Ford's proposal, stating that it failed to meet the union's needs and insulted their worth. Ford, on the other hand, released a statement defending its proposal, which included guaranteed wage increases and other benefits. GM and Stellantis have not yet responded to the charges.
