Mattel's New Game Studio Aims to Level Up IP-Driven Mobile Titles
Mattel is revamping its digital games operation with Mattel Game Studios, a self-publishing and live-ops-focused arm that will develop original experiences based on Mattel IP, leveraging Mattel163’s live-ops strengths plus Mattel’s publishing and marketing. Following the full acquisition of Mattel163 earlier this year, the studio is rolling out titles like Skeletor: Until Next Time! (June) and is developing UNO Wild (soft launch) and a Hot Wheels game, alongside licensed efforts such as Hot Wheels Unleashed and Barbie Rewind, as it expands its owned-and-operated mobile games portfolio.
