Unpasteurized dairy outbreak grows to 9 cases, including kidney failure
The FDA’s latest update says 9 people in three states are sick in an E. coli outbreak linked to unpasteurized dairy products, including Raw Farm raw cheddar and raw milk. Three have been hospitalized and one developed hemolytic-uremic syndrome (kidney failure). Whole-genome sequencing suggests a common source, while Raw Farm denies the link and has not issued a recall. Most patients are children under 5, underscoring the danger of raw dairy.
