Southwest Airlines Flight Diverts to Wichita to Offload Flight Attendant
Southwest Airlines flight 872 from Dallas Love Field to Kansas City made an unscheduled stop in Wichita to drop off a flight attendant, causing a 46-minute delay. Passengers were not informed until just before boarding. Southwest stated that they had to fill a staffing hole in Wichita to avoid canceling downline segments operated by the same plane.
