Samsung's profits have significantly declined due to restrictions on US chip exports and shortages in AI memory components, impacting its financial performance and highlighting challenges in the tech supply chain.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made a low-key trip to China to celebrate Lunar New Year with staff amid concerns about US chip restrictions. His visit comes as Nvidia's AI accelerators play a pivotal role in the tech race between the US and China, with Huang warning that increased sanctions could drive Chinese firms to develop their own alternatives, potentially harming American tech leaders. Nvidia has designed versions of its semiconductors for China to comply with US sanctions, and Huang has since moved on to Taiwan for his fourth visit in less than a year.
