USA names star-studded roster for FIBA World Cup led by Wilson and Stewart
USA Basketball unveiled its FIBA World Cup roster led by A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, joining Olympic veterans Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young and rising talents Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Brittney Griner is out with a knee injury, while Sabrina Ionescu, Jewell Loyd and Alyssa Thomas are not on the roster. Sue Bird announced the lineup on TODAY, with Kara Lawson coaching. The U.S. opens group play Sept. 4 vs. China, continuing a long winning streak in Olympic/World Cup competition.
