"Disney and Hulu to Enforce Password-Sharing Crackdown, Following Netflix's Lead"
Disney and Hulu are following in Netflix's footsteps by cracking down on streaming password sharing, with Hulu set to start limiting account sharing outside of the owner's household from March 14. The updated user agreements for Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ explicitly state that users cannot impersonate someone else by using their username or password, although it's unclear when this language was added. Disney's CEO had previously hinted at addressing this issue in the future, with the move expected to take effect in 2024.
