Mexican Spider-Verse Animator Dies in Annecy Train Incident
Mexican animator Luis de la Rosa, known for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, died at 34 after being struck by an express train near Annecy’s downtown station while attending the Annecy International Animation Film Festival; police opened an investigation. A tribute is planned at the festival’s closing ceremony. De la Rosa had worked in Vancouver since 2016 and was presenting Ash Raider World at Annecy.
