VC-25B Bridge clears flight tests, set for summer rollout
The Air Force says the VC-25B Bridge has completed modification and flight testing and is entering paint, with rollout planned for this summer and delivery to the Presidential Airlift Group no later than summer 2026. The program accelerates readiness by using multiple 747-8 airframes from around the world (including a head-of-state configured Qatar 747-8i) and partnerships with Boeing and L3Harris to train crews and establish sustainment, laying the groundwork for the future VC-25B fleet and ensuring no-fail presidential airlift capabilities.
