Netflix Breaks Silence and Reveals Extensive Viewing Data for All Titles
Netflix has released its first "What We Watched" report, revealing viewership statistics for nearly all of its shows and movies. The move comes after years of resistance and a reputation for lack of transparency. The report ranks titles by hours viewed over the last six months and will be updated every six months. Netflix's co-CEO, Ted Sarandos, acknowledged the need for transparency in response to distrust from the creator community and the demand for fair compensation. The report includes data on over 18,000 titles, accounting for 99% of all viewing on the platform.
