
Hong Kong Tiananmen Vigil Leaders Sentenced to Up to Seven Years
Three leaders of the dissolved Hong Kong Alliance were sentenced to up to seven years in prison under the national security law for inciting others to subvert state power tied to annual Tiananmen vigils; Lee Cheuk-yan got seven years, Chow Hang-tung seven years and three months, and Albert Ho five years, with the group also fined HK$1.5 million as authorities broadened penalties for dissent in Hong Kong.
