Gresham murder suspect and Portland K-9 die in SE Portland shootout
A suspect wanted for a Gresham homicide and a Portland Police Bureau K-9 died during a planned arrest attempt in southeast Portland on Thursday. The shooting occurred near the Chestnut Tree Inn after the suspect was located by a regional task force. Two officers are on leave, and the K-9, Kylo, was scheduled to retire after six years of service.
