A former financial employee of the Jacksonville Jaguars is facing charges of wire fraud and illegal monetary transaction for allegedly stealing over $22 million from the franchise over a four-year period. The employee, Amit Patel, is accused of manipulating the team's virtual credit card program to fund personal purchases, including a condominium, a Tesla, cryptocurrency, private jets, luxury hotel stays, a country club membership, and luxury watches. The Jaguars confirmed that Patel was terminated earlier this year and stated that no other team employees were involved or aware of his criminal activity.
