Hennepin County prosecutors have filed felony charges against conservative activist James O'Keefe and Cam Higby for unlawful voting and identity theft. The charges stem from videos posted during the August 11 primary, where the men misrepresented their identities to election judges in an attempt to test Minnesota's vouching system. While the group claims they were merely testing the law, prosecutors argue they used the names of real, registered voters without permission. Secretary of State Steve Simon stated that poll workers acted correctly, and the real voter whose identity was used confirmed he was unaware of the incident.
