
Mariclare Costello, Waltons Actress and Horror Icon, Dies at 90
Mariclare Costello, who played Rosemary Hunter on The Waltons and appeared in the cult horror film Let’s Scare Jessica To Death, died April 17 in Brooklyn at age 90. A Broadway veteran with nine credits, she studied at Catholic University, helped found the Lincoln Center Repertory Company, and was a lifelong member of The Actors Studio; she is survived by her daughter Arin Arbus, partner Ethan Lipton, granddaughter Bird, and other relatives. A funeral is planned in New York City with burial in Peoria.
