FBI affidavit ties drugs to van in Houston ICE shooting
An FBI affidavit filed for a Houston search warrant says investigators found small bags of a white crystal substance in the van linked to the July 7 ICE shooting, consistent with methamphetamine and giving probable cause for drug distribution or possession with intent. The ownership of the drugs isn’t specified. ICE described the shooting as self-defense and noted no body cameras; the warrant was later unsealed, the Harris County DA's office says it did not file or execute it, and the van was searched with FBI permission. Three men in the vehicle remain detained, with U Visa protections; DHS has not said the ICE agents knew of drugs in the vehicle at the time.
