Southwest Exits O’Hare and Dulles, Reconfiguring Its DC-Chicago Network
Southwest Airlines will stop flying to and from Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles on June 4 as part of a network refinement, though it will still operate from Chicago Midway and other DC airports. The carrier says the region won’t face major changes in flight options, with 81 Chicago-location flights from MDW and 271 flights to 79 destinations from the two DC airports combined; frontline employees at O’Hare and Dulles will have bid options for openings at other airports.
