Stellar Snacks, a woman-owned pretzel company based in Nevada, will invest $137 million in west Louisville over the next 10 years, creating 350 full-time jobs. Governor Andy Beshear called it the biggest jobs announcement in west Louisville in the last two decades. The company's values of community involvement, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility align with the area, which has historically been overlooked for such investments. The project is contingent upon final approval of state incentives and will involve taking over a 434,000-square-foot building for bakery operations. Hiring is expected to begin in March 2024, with the first products scheduled to be baked in September 2024.
