The son of John Ward, a father who spent decades and £2m trying to find out who killed his daughter in Kenya, has called him a hero. Julie Ward, a wildlife photographer, was found murdered on Maasai Mara reserve in 1988, and no one has ever been convicted of her murder. John Ward died earlier this month at the age of 89. His son said the family had come to terms with the fact that justice had not been achieved, but praised his father's determination and investigative skills.
