Biden Reaches Landmark 150th Judicial Confirmation in Senate
President Joe Biden secured his 150th federal judicial appointment after the U.S. Senate confirmed two new judges in California and Massachusetts, bringing the total number of women appointed to the bench to a record-breaking 100. Biden has appointed more women to the federal bench in his first four-year term than any other president. The Senate has also confirmed 98 judges who are people of color, including the first Black woman Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. While Biden's judicial confirmations have slowed compared to earlier in his tenure, Senate Democrats have more votes lined up in the coming days.
