Robin Morgan, Feminist Icon and WMC Co-Founder, Dies at 85
Robin Morgan, longtime editor of Ms. Magazine and a co-founder of the Women’s Media Center with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem, died on September 5 at age 85 after years living with Parkinson’s disease; the cause of death wasn’t disclosed. Her son Blake Morgan and Women’s Media Center president Julie Burton announced the news, with Fonda and Steinem paying tribute to her leadership in advancing women’s voices in media. Morgan helped launch the WMC 21 years ago to strengthen democracy for women in media, and her legacy includes hosting the WMC Live podcast and other programs as the organization continues her work.
