Consumer Reports' 2024 Automotive Rankings: Electrified Vehicles Dominate, Rivian Among Worst Brands
Despite the Rivian R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV performing well in Consumer Reports' tests, the brand was listed among the worst car brands for 2024 due to significant concerns about predicted reliability, as reported by CR members. Rivian received an overall score of 55, ranking fifth lowest among 34 brands evaluated. GMC, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Jeep also made the list of worst brands, with issues ranging from noise and reliability concerns to persistent vibration problems.
