A top fighter affiliated with the Russian mercenary group Wagner, Yan Petrovsky, has been detained in Finland at Ukraine's request. Petrovsky, who is under EU and US sanctions, was initially arrested for a visa violation and may now be extradited to Ukraine. He is a founding member and leader of the far-right subunit Rusich, known for its neo-Nazi ideology. Wagner Group has faced sanctions from Western countries for alleged atrocities and its leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is presumed dead. The Finnish court is expected to extend Petrovsky's detention, and the Russian embassy in Helsinki is offering consular assistance.
