Capitol Rioter Sentenced to Prison for Involvement in Jan. 6 Attack
Yvonne St Cyr, a Jan. 6 defendant, has been sentenced to 2.5 years in federal prison for her involvement in the Capitol riot. St Cyr, who claimed she had the right to enter the Capitol, was found guilty of two felony counts of civil disorder and several misdemeanors. During her sentencing hearing, she expressed a "misguided sense of duty" and repeated her belief that the last presidential election was stolen. St Cyr also went on a bizarre rant during the hearing, discussing various topics unrelated to the case. She showed no remorse for her actions and stated that she believed she did the right thing.
