Tight end Zach Gentry has agreed to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he has played since being drafted in the fifth round out of Michigan in 2019. Gentry played in all 17 games last season, starting 13 of them, and caught 19 passes for 132 yards.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly re-signed TE Zach Gentry, who had been an unrestricted free agent. Gentry has been the team's #2 tight end for the past two seasons and is known for his blocking abilities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gentry expressed a desire to stay in Pittsburgh earlier in the offseason, and his return to the team makes sense given his size and familiarity with the system. The Steelers' tight end room now consists of Pat Freiermuth, Zach Gentry, Connor Heyward, and Rodney Williams.
