Ontario Tower Buzzers Schedule 'Fly High, Jackie Night' to Honor Late Bald Eagle

The Ontario Tower Buzzers will host a tribute event for Jackie, the late Big Bear Valley bald eagle, on August 23. Half of ticket proceeds will support the nonprofit that managed her famous livestream. Jackie died on August 10 after weeks of treatment for severe anemia following an altercation with other eagles. Her death sparked global mourning and highlighted the success of conservation fundraising tied to her online presence.
