Ork Big Mek Dakkarig stomps into Warhammer 40,000 Armageddon box
Warhammer Community previews the Big Mek Dakkarig for the Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon launch box. The ambulatory war engine debuts with datacard rules and features a Dakkablitz ability that nearly doubles its fire rate against smaller targets, making it a tough, high-firepower Walker that works well with Dread Mob detachments and can serve as a Warlord; the piece also teases a Space Marines Land Speeder reveal in a follow-up preview.
Holier Orders: Adepta Sororitas Unveil New 40k Detachments
Warhammer Community previews three new Adepta Sororitas detachments—Chorus of Condemnation, Celestian Sacresants, and Sanctified Orators—each bringing unique buffs: Condemnatory Psalms lets Fly infantry reveal and condemn hidden enemies (boosting detection range and aiding short-range fire), with Canoness with Jump Pack able to Deep Strike (range reduced to 8”). Exorcist stratagems gain +1 to hit against the targeted unit. Celestian Sacresants gain Holy Quest bonuses (+1 BS/WS) and the Writ of Compunction upgrade to add OC, plus Faithful Fortitude 1CP to weather mortal wounds. Sanctified Orators focus on upgrading key Characters (Rite of Revelation, Sermon of Intolerance, Chorus of Repudiation) via the Hagiomnifex, without counting toward total enhancements. All three detachments cost 1 Detachment Point and can be combined with other detachments to form a 2,000-point army; the piece hints at pairing Chorus of Condemnation with Bringers of Flame for extra close-range firepower.
Operation Imperator: The Space Marines’ Armageddon Offensive
Warhammer Community unveils Operation Imperator, a coordinated Space Marine campaign to break Ghazghkull’s siege of Armageddon. After Commissar Yarrick’s breakout from Hive Volcanus, an Imperial distress call draws in chapters like Ultramarines (Marneus Calgar) and forces from the Indomitus Crusade, including Salamanders, Black Templars, Space Wolves, and Blood Angels, among others. The plan features theatre badges (Infernus, Deadlands, Acheron, Volcanus) and dedicated campaign symbols, with the Operation Imperator book included in the Armageddon launch box detailing major war zones and forces. The Imperium must lift Armageddon’s industrial and symbolic significance even as Ork Waaagh! altars grow louder.

Perturabo’s master plan for the Iron Warriors unfolds as they push a grinding siege across the Imperium, expanding the Infinite Citadel toward Terra in the Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron storyline, with Chaos reinforcements teased for pre-order as Abaddon pursues other schemes.
Eye of Terror Unleashes New Rules for Morne, Defilers, and Mutilators
Warhammer Community previews three Chaos Space Marines units—Kravek Morne, Mutilators, and Defilers—featuring new datasheets: Morne wields Last Argument and a power fist, can single out an enemy unit, and remains a devastating frontline presence; Mutilators can morph their arms into lethal melee weapons, Deep Strike into enemy lines, and use Crushing Charge with a re-roll for a 9" charge; Defilers receive a size and stat update with expanded ranged options, including legion-specific variants like a Thousand Sons Defiler that leverages Fire Overwatch. All three are headed for pre-orders alongside Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron expansion, with more details teased for tomorrow.
Yarrick Returns to Armageddon with a New Miniature
Armageddon is burning as Orks threaten the planet, and Commissar Sebastian Yarrick returns with a new miniature that nods to his past iterations, featuring his iconic pose, a blazing bionic eye, and a laspistol; the Warhammer Community piece previews the model and teases more on Yarrick's role in Armageddon, including a video and newsletter sign-up for updates.
Berehk Stornbröw: Leagues of Votann's top Big Guy slayer, per new datasheet
Warhammer Community reveals Berehk Stornbröw’s new datasheet for the Leagues of Votann, presenting him as a premier Big Guy-killer with strong survivability (Feel No Pain 4+), a devastating weapon (Kromlôk’s Revenge) that can mow down squads or punch through tanks, and a graviton strikes mode. He can join units to inspire them (Sustained Hits 1) and pairs well with anti-monster/anti-vehicle support. Free Heroic Intervention and Sagitaur-assisted mobility help him threaten the board, making him a top pick alongside the Twin Lance in the current 40k landscape.

Forge your own Warhammer 40,000 heroes with Crucible of Champions rules
The Warhammer Community article introduces Crucible of Champions, a new set of rules in The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant that lets players craft bespoke Warlord protagonists for their 40,000 armies. Starting from an archetype, players add a Specialism, abilities, and a choice of weapons to shape a character’s keywords, roles, and point cost, with examples like Rogue Trader Kristovahl Dynost III, Glitcha da Psykamekk, and Zar Tahyed. The rules emphasize flexibility and storytelling, allowing kooky combinations in friendly matches, and note that the first two weapons are free with subsequent weapons costing five points each. Pre-orders for The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant are teased as part of the narrative.
