"GM and Ford to End Electric Vehicle Tax Credit for Select Car Models in 2024"

General Motors and Ford have announced that certain car models will no longer be eligible for electric vehicle tax credits in the U.S. starting from January 1, 2024. GM's Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer, as well as Ford's E-Transit, Mach-E, and Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring plug-in hybrid, will be temporarily impacted. However, Ford's F-150 EV Lighting and Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring will still be eligible for tax credits. The temporary loss of tax credit eligibility is due to minor components in the vehicles, with GM expecting eligibility to return in early 2024.
