Ford recalls Lincoln SUVs over fire risk, urges owners to park outside.

Ford is recalling 142,522 Lincoln MKCs from model years 2015-2019 due to a potential fire risk in the engine compartment caused by a damaged battery monitor sensor. The automaker is aware of 19 reports of under-the-hood fires related to the issue, but no accidents or injuries have been reported. Ford has a fix for the issue and is sending instructions to dealerships to add a fuse line to the battery monitor. Owners will be notified to park their vehicles outside and take them to a dealership for repairs, with reimbursements available for those who already paid for repairs.
