Wendy’s trims Colorado Springs footprint amid nationwide restructuring

Wendy’s permanently closed at least three Colorado Springs locations—222 N Wahsatch Ave, the corner of East Platte and Wahsatch downtown, and 3036 W Colorado Ave in Old Colorado City—with a fourth at 1104 E. Fillmore St observed later, as part of a nationwide Project Fresh footprint optimization. The company said the closures are meant to strengthen performance for sustainable, long‑term growth and noted Wendy’s is reducing its U.S. store count by a mid‑single digits percentage; there are 118 Wendy’s in Colorado, including 13 in the Colorado Springs area.
