Lockbit hacking gang leaks Boeing data

Internal data from Boeing, one of the world's largest defense and space contractors, has been published online by the Lockbit cybercrime gang. The hackers had threatened to release the data unless a ransom was paid. The files, which have not been independently verified, mostly date to late October. Boeing confirmed a cybersecurity incident in its parts and distribution business and stated that it is investigating the incident. While the company believes the event does not pose a threat to aircraft or flight safety, it did not comment on whether defense or other sensitive data had been obtained by Lockbit. Lockbit ransomware has been detected globally, targeting organizations in the United States, India, and Brazil.
