"Massive Data Breach: 7.9 Million Driver License Numbers Stolen in Australia"

Australian consumer finance firm Latitude Group Holdings Ltd revealed that hackers stole nearly 8 million Australian and New Zealand drivers licence numbers, 53,000 passport numbers, and more than 6 million customer records, mostly from between 2005 and 2013, in what it called a "distressing development". The cyber attack affected far more customers than first disclosed by the company on March 16, and now ranks among the country's biggest data thefts. Latitude's shares fell 2.5% as investors worried that the company's exposure may be worse than previously thought.
