Clean energy company to establish major plastic conversion facility in West Virginia.

Clean-Seas has announced a $50 million manufacturing facility in West Virginia to convert plastic feedstock to clean fuels products, including hydrogen. The facility will be located in Quincy, in eastern Kanawha County, and will employ 40 workers. The company plans to begin processing plastic for conversion to clean energy at a rate of 100 tons per day, starting in 2024, scaling to 500 tons per day over time. The project is supported by more than $12 million in state incentives, including $1.75 million in forgiveable loans.
