"ERCOT Launches TXANs System for Simplified Power Grid Updates in Texas"

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has launched the Texas Advisory and Notification System (TXANS) to provide clear and reliable information about grid conditions to the public. The alerts include the ERCOT Weather Watch and the Voluntary Conservation Notice, which will be delivered through email, Facebook, Twitter, and the TXANS website. The system is in addition to the previously announced 6-Day Supply and Demand Forecast and Fuel Mix dashboards available on the ERCOT webpage. ERCOT has also warned of brownouts this summer due to the demand for power outpacing the available supply, with the state's ongoing population boom exacerbating the issue.
