Oliver Blames Trump, RFK Jr. for Slow Cyclospora Response
TL;DR
On Last Week Tonight, John Oliver covers a cyclospora outbreak tied to contaminated lettuce at Taco Bell, jokes about the illness’s severity, and argues that funding and staffing cuts at the FDA and CDC under the Trump era and RFK Jr. have hampered the public-health response, as Taco Bell moves to remove affected lettuce; the segment closes with satire and a call for swifter action on food safety.
