Stockholm Implements Comprehensive Ban on Combustion Engine Cars in City Center

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, has announced a ban on diesel and petrol-powered vehicles in its city center starting in 2025, in an effort to combat air pollution. The ban will allow hybrid vans, combustion-based ambulances, police cars, and vehicles driven by individuals with disabilities. Electric vehicles will be exempt from the ban. Stockholm's move follows the trend of other European cities implementing low-emission zones (LEZs) to reduce air pollution.
