"Grocery Prices Dip as Egg Costs Fall, Processed Foods Remain Inflated"

Grocery prices in the US saw a small decline last month, with a 0.1% decrease, while food prices increased slightly by 0.1% in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' June Consumer Price Index. The price of eggs dropped significantly, down 7.3% on a monthly basis and 7.9% year over year. However, processed foods, including cereal and bakery products, saw sticky inflation, with prices up 0.2% last month and 8.8% year over year. Overall, food prices rose at a slower rate than the previous month, up 4.7% on a year-over-year basis.
