Juneteenth Trading Hours: Is the Stock Market Open or Closed?

US financial markets, including the NYSE and Nasdaq, will be closed on Monday, June 21, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, a federal holiday honoring the end of slavery in the US. Banks and post offices will also be closed, and there will be no postal deliveries. The three-day market holiday comes as stocks have rallied sharply, with the S&P 500 up 5.5% so far in June and nearly 15% so far in 2021.
