Majority of Americans Experience Financial Stress, CNBC Survey Reveals

A CNBC survey conducted in partnership with Momentive found that 70% of Americans are feeling financially stressed due to inflation, economic instability, and a lack of savings. The cost of basic household expenses has increased, and only 45% of U.S. adults have an emergency fund. Even those making $100,000 or more are feeling the squeeze, with 57% saying they feel financially stressed. Women are feeling more stressed than men, and lower pay and higher costs of child care may add to financial stress for women.
