Mortgage Rates Continue to Fluctuate in June 2023

The average long-term US mortgage rate fell to 6.67% this week from 6.69% a week ago, according to Freddie Mac. The rate on a 30-year home loan is still more than double what it was two years ago, when ultra-low rates spurred a wave of home sales and refinancing. The dearth of properties on the market is also a key reason sales of previously occupied US homes fell for the third month in a row in May, the National Association of Realtors said.
