Billionaire Jimmy Rane, founder and CEO of Great Southern Wood Preserving, shared some of his favorite places to eat in Alabama with Forbes. Among his picks were Davenport's Pizza Palace in Mountain Brook, Felix's Fish Camp Restaurant in Spanish Fort, Niki's West Steak & Seafood Restaurant in Birmingham, and 1856 at The Rane Culinary Science Center in Auburn. Rane also cited Baker's Landing in Abbeville, Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, and Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn as some of his favorite places in the state.
