The Flying Elbow Takes the Crown for Iowa's Best Pulled Pork Sandwich.

The Flying Elbow in Marshalltown, Iowa has been crowned the winner of the sixth annual Pulled Pork Madness contest by the Iowa Pork Producers Association. The restaurant, which started as a food truck in 2017, uses a 300-gallon wood-fired smoker to cook pork shoulders for its cherry-wood smoked pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich comes with barbecue sauce and pickles and is served on a Hawaiian-style sesame seed burger bun or Texas toast. The Flying Elbow beat out 62 other Iowa restaurants to take home the top prize.
